I really enjoyed playing Dragon Nest but I don't want to start over from zero on Nexon's site. Steam, now that I'm done doing half your work, you can contact me by message on my profile to get my address where to send my paycheck! Maybe the lastest update is incompatible with older versions of Windows and Steam just hasn't released the info yet till they're sure they can't make a work-around. I have not been able to get it to play since Dragon Nest's last update and I have WindowsXp. I restored the computer to a previous date prior to the RealPlayer update but there was still no change to the nxstdn.dll not found error.ĭragon Nest still plays on my son's laptop and he has Windows7. I uninstalled both with no change to nxstdn.dll not found error. Updated RealPlayer recently and it installed Google Chrome. Even after reaching level 41, the icons were still greyed-out. I don't know if it's related or not but before the update I had reached level 40 on my Swordsman and the level 40 ability was not available to learn.

I was able to download and run Dragon Nest from the Nexon web site and it worked fine. I cannot tell if his updated because he still does not have Kali as a choice on the create a character page. Dragon Nest runs on my son's laptop but his updates automatically. I manually updated Dragon Nest from the web page. I don't know a great deal about computers but it sounds, since the file IS in there and the launcher doesn't find it, there is a missing pointer or the pointer goes to the wrong place. I got to that file by opening /C: going to "Programs", then the "Steam" folder, next I opened "SteamApps", then "common" where the "dragonnest" folder is located. It was suggested running Dragon Nest as an Admin - my computer has never had a profile other than the Admin profileĪlso, there IS a nxstdn.dll file in the folder titled dragonnest. Verify Integrity of Cache File in Dragon Nest properties by right-clicking the Dragon Nest icon on my Steam profile page. Uninstall Dragon Nest, uninstall Steam, reinstall Steam, reinstall Dragon Nest, in that order Deleted the BIN file in the Steam folder in Programs on the /C: (which cannot be done because many of the files denied access) Deleted the AppCache file in the Steam folder in Programs on the /C: Disable both script debugging in Internet Options Advanced tab Here is a list of things I have tried so far from suggestions in the community threads: When I try to launch the application, I get the following box.
